Direct Work with Children

This module has been developed to assist child care practitioners to:

• Understand the wider impacts that Domestic Abuse has on children.
• Understand the importance of asking appropriate questions.
• Introduce and complete safety planning work with children.
• Understand the importance of essential and accurate recording of facts and sensitive information.

It is especially useful for Children’s Centre Staff, Social Workers and Practitioners who carry out direct and individual work with children.

You should have completed the Domestic Abuse Awareness and Safeguarding Children modules prior to attending this specialist course.
